Subsidies - principles governing the application

Principles governing the application for contributions to projects and donations

  1. The eligible projects shall concern mainly the field of classical music, and they shall be such as to have a positive impact on unfavourable social and economic conditions, with a preference for those initiatives that make use of innovative pedagogic and intervention methodologies. Applications for scholarships are expressly excluded.

The Foundation Council shall examine the applications received at its full discretion and with wholly independent decisions; it shall inform the applicant about the result of its decisions in time.

The sums of the donations shall be used exclusively towards the goals indicated in the grant application.

  2. Any change to the project (as compared to the one mentioned in the application), as well as any further support by other partners or co-financiers, shall be communicated to DulcimerFondation pour la Musique in time. In case of significant changes regarding the nature of the project, its targets and the participating persons and entities, the Foundation may reserve its right to confirm its participation in such project.
  3. At the Foundation’s request, the beneficiaries of any subsidy granted by Dulcimer Fondation pour la Musique shall mention, in all promotional materials for the subsidized project or initiative (including the Internet), the name and logo of Dulcimer Fondation pour la Musique among the sponsors and/or partners.

  4. Dulcimer Fondation pour la Musique shall have the right to publish the name and logo of the beneficiaries of any of its subsidies/donations in its information and promotional material (including the Internet).

  5. The beneficiaries of donations and/or contributions shall provide Dulcimer Fondation pour la Musique with regular information reports as well as with a final report (in the event of projects lasting over six months). In any event, they have to supply detailed and regular financial statements to Dulcimer Fondation pour la Musique with respect to the actual use of the sums granted, as may be agreed by the parties in further detail.

  6. The submission of an application for a subsidy shall not in itself produce any right or expectation in favour of the applicant.

  7. The payment of a subsidy/donation by Dulcimer Fondation pour la Musique shall not oblige the latter to make any further payment in the future, nor shall it produce any right and/or expectation of that kind by the beneficiary.

  8. Only applications submitted by institutions or organizations shall be taken into considerations; this means that applications submitted by individuals or commercial companies shall not be eligible.

  9. All applications for contributions regarding projects or for donations shall be submitted on the relevant forms (the links to download such forms can be found in EXTRA) and sent by mail exclusively to the following address:
