Festival Archipel

The Archipel Festival, an international festival for musical creation founded in Geneva in 1992, invites both established and emerging ensembles and artists, as well as musicians from Switzerland and all over the world, to present their studies and sound works.

Activities

Salle des Jeux (Playroom)

As part of the 2025 Archipel Festival, dedicated to experimental music and sound art, for ten days there will be a Playroom for musical activities for children and young people. Large rugs and carpets will fill the space, encouraging visitors to sit, lie down, run, or play.

The scheduled projects offer participants the opportunity to discover contemporary and experimental music in many forms:

concerts by music conservatory students
concerts by university of music students
concerts by professional musicians
workshops and exploratory activities in which participants construct instruments and have the opportunity to play them

The concerts last between 30 and 40 minutes, and a programme designed specifically for children is divided into two series:

Minuscule, designed for newborns and younger children
Majuscule, combining play with a more serious and educational approach

The Aim

Archipel promotes all forms of musical research and sound art, contributing to ensuring their recognition and constant visibility in Swiss cultural life.
