Music School Bienne

During the school year 2023/24, the JSOB organised several concerts in the Bienne area and participated in the Youth Orchestra Festival in Florence as well as a tour through Tuscany.
In addition to Franz Schubert's Fifth Symphony in B minor, the orchestra performed a selection of orchestral works in line with the programme's motto "Outside! - Dehors!", accompanying the talented young soloist Joris Wyssbrod in W. A. Mozart's Rondo in D major for piano and orchestra.
The Aim
The JSOB allows young musicians from the Bienne region to experience and play together in a larger ensemble and offers its members the opportunity to develop themselves personally and musically. Under the professional musical direction of Lionel Zürcher, participants in reunions, concert tours, and orchestra camps learn new methods, thus receiving a valuable complement to regular music lessons.
